Teething Bib Set Example

Free Project Ideas: Teething Bib Set Example

I had an occasion to create a set of 3 baby bibs as a gift.  I picked this Teething Bib Set because the baby isn't brand new and will soon be needing something like this.  The bibs are backed with a very nice nylon fabric that is soft to the touch and embroiders just like any other fabric.  It's not the vinyl backing we remember from the 80s!  :)

I really enjoyed working with these colors and designs, and thought I better share my design resources in case anyone was interested in creating their own version.  Here are the details:

I used our Teething Bib Set of 3 found here.

Alligator bib:
The Alligator applique design was purchased from www.embroidery-boutique.com.  I added a font I absolutely adore called "Caterpillar" and that can be found at www.appliquecorner.com.

Letter A bib:
The rounded block outline is actually an applique design that I changed up a little bit.  I found the design at www.embroidery-boutique.com, then picked out the satin stitch outline pieces that I wanted to use for my project.  The Letter A is a built-in design in my Bernina software.  It's one of the very basic alphabets that every software program includes---I just tried them all until I found a lowercase a that I really liked, then resized it to fit inside my rounded corner frame.

Whale bib:
The Whale applique design was purchased from www.embroidery-boutique.com.  Again, I added lettering from one of my favorite "boy" fonts called "Caterpillar" that I purchased from www.appliquecorner.

I hope you'll make your own version of these cute, practical bibs.  Send photos if you do!
